In 2019 my parents moved into a new build condo. To keep cost low at the time they did not finish the basement. Fast forward to 2024, my mom hired me to design the basement. she wanted storage space, an office/ craft room for herself, game area, bar, and space for a large sectional couch to relax and watch tv. We went to Home Depot to buy flooring and cabinets. We hired my husband’s company to do the framing and drywall. We hired a handful of other people to create the vision my mom and I designed. Our style board included rich woods, blues and grays, barn wood doors, a dartboard wall, and several areas to gather and have a conversation.
